Karate Introduction
Karate Jutsu Kai is an internationally acclaimed style of Karate-do affiliated to the IBK (International Kyokushin Budokai Kan).
The style continues to evolve in today's society providing a firm basis for self-defence and a fitness regime, which challenges students both physically and mentally. Over time students soon develop a martial attitude and a clear understanding that Karate Jutsu can be implemented not only in combat, but in everyday life. In short, one learns to fight, so one does not need to fight, and as such, each person evolves with confidence, dedication, respectful values and a core belief that Karate-do is a constant study of oneself.
Today, the Ashford Dojo under the guidance and instruction of Sensei Alan Miller (4th Dan) who is himself still under the perpetual tuition of Hanshi Creton (Chief Instructor.) Sensei Alan has been tasked with continuing the martial discipline, which he believes has proven so successful over the years. The club also forms an integral part of British Karate Jutsu Kai Association which is overseen by the resident Dai Shihan John Wilson (6th dan).
At Ashford, beginners are welcome and initial training is in shorts or tracksuit bottoms with T-shirts. Beginners should be open minded, patient and prepared to take on new challenges.
