Kickboxing Training

At the Ashford dojo, the club has kickbags, thai pads, focus pads and the like for students to use. Training varies generally in the form of circuit workouts, bag and pad work as well as partner work. The training also involves regular kickboxing bouts between the students in a controlled manner to allow natural development.

Because of the Karate ethos the Kickboxing also takes on board elements of karate training, which compliments this alternative form of combat. As well as the definition and application of techniques, the workout also expresses a need for dedication, respect and manners, which are characterised in Karate-do. This sharing of attitudes we believe helps to develop the students mental and physical well being, whilst giving them an alternative foundation in martial arts.

Training is in shorts, tracksuits and T-shirts, gloves and the like are provided for beginners. During the first sessions beginners are introduced to the training regime and guided through the requirements. The main aspect of this training as always is to do your best.
